Evaluation for Social Change
I believe in the power of data. I believe in the power of data to inform and make change for social good. But more importantly, I believe in the power of the people who provide this data – our audiences and communities – to shape our organizations, our work, and our purpose.
As an evaluator and applied social science researcher, I partner with nonprofits, collectives, and grassroots collaborators to help understand, communicate, and achieve impact through an evidence-based, community centered lens.
I guide folks through intentional thinking and strategic planning for programs and initiatives, from conception, to implementation, to impact. Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, I design collaborative audience research and evaluation studies using mixed method approaches, analyze evidence, and communicate findings with actionable next steps. In addition to implementing evaluation studies, I empower teams to embrace evaluative thinking, expand evaluation capacity, and consider evaluation and research as a tool for advocacy.
Services include evaluation and audience research design, organizational and strategic support utilizing tools such as Logic Models and Theories of Change, progress and impact studies, survey and instrument design, facilitation, data collection, data management, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, reporting, and consulting.
My work is rooted in community, cultural responsiveness, and social justice. Partnering together will consist of engaging in deep conversations and practices focused on power, equity, inclusion and representation.
